Votorantim
Votorantim hydroelectric power plant started its generation in 1912 and it was acquired by CBA from Votorantim Participações, part of Grupo Votorantim in 2005. It operates with average annual production of 21.7 thousand MWh, with installed capacity of 3,2 MW, counting on a set with three generators and turbines. It is located in the municipality of Votorantim, taking advantage of the energetic potential of Sorocaba river, located in São Paulo state.
The dam of this power plant is 110 m long and 4.4 m high from the lowest point of the foundation. The transmission line brings energy generated to Santa Helena power plant and, later, to Itupararanga power point. Finally, the energy reaches CBA plant located in Alumínio, São Paulo state.
