Santa Helena
Santa Helena hydroelectric power plant started its generation in 1936 and was acquired by CBA from Votorantim Participações, part of Grupo Votorantim, in 2005. It operates with average annual production of 14,6 thousand MWh, with installed capacity of 2.4 MW, counting on a set of two generators and turbines. It is located in the municipality of Votorantim, taking advantage of the energetic potential of Sorocaba river, located in São Paulo state.
The dam of this power plant is 102 m long and 5 m high, from the lowest point of its foundation. The transmission line bring the generated energy to Itupararanga power plant, which, later on, goes to CBA plant located in Alumínio, São Paulo state.
