Ourinhos

Ourinhos hydroelectric power plant will be built by CBA along the waters of the River Paranapanema, between the cities of Ourinhos, SP, and Jacarezinho, PR. The construction is still in its initial phase, in the excavation process. According to previsions, it is estimated it will start operating in 2005.

The installed potential will be of 44 MW, and the power generated about 207 thousand MWh/year. The concession period is of 35 years, which started in July 2000.
