Itupararanga

The hydroelectric power plant of Itupararanga, acquired by CBA together with Light Serviços de Eletricidade AS, in 1974, operates with an average annual production of 150 GWh and is located in the municipality of Votorantim, taking advantage of the energetic power of the River Sorocaba, in the State of São Paulo.

The dam of this power plant has a length of 415 meters and a height of 35 meters, from the lowest point of the foundation. The transmission line which takes the energy generated to the plant of CBA, in Alumínio, has an extension of 17.5 kilometers. The energy group has four generators and turbines.
