Alecrim
The hydroelectric power plant of Alecrim is located in the municipality of Miracatu, some 200 kilometers from the city of São Paulo. Its construction was initiated in 1969 and concluded in 1974, when it commenced operations. It is the third power plant built by CBA and the fifth in sequence along the Juquiá River.
Its annual average capacity of
generation is of 400 GWh and its dam is 207 meters long,
with a height of 54.4 meters from the lowest point of
the foundations.
That power plant operates with three generators manufactured by Brown Boveri and three Escher Wyss turbines.
