Miraí

In the middle of 2007, a new bauxite mining unit will be built in the municipality of Miraí, southeast Minas Gerais state. The investment of this first phase will be of R$ 100 millions. Thus, CBA will start operating its third mining unit in Minas Gerais state.

The new unit is able to produce up to 3 million tons of processed bauxite a year. Miraí unit will be built in three phases and each one of them will increase production capacity in 1 million tons a year.
