CBA is self-sufficient in bauxite, ore used in the aluminum manufacturing. The company has own mines located in Poços de Caldas and Itamarati de Minas regions, both in Minas Gerais state. In 2007, a new ore department will be in operation in Miraí, southeast of Minas Gerais state. The company has also an equity participation in Mineração Rio do Norte S/A enterprise, responsible for the reserves located in Trombetas region, Pará state.

CBA miner companies supply its plant located in the city of Alumínio, São Paulo state. Poços de Caldas unit, opened in 1941, has an one million ton production a year and Itamarati, in Cataguases region, is responsible for the production of 1,6 million ton a year of processed ore.
