The administrative headquarters of Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio, CBA, is located in the center of the capital of São Paulo at the Building Ermírio de Moraes, where other companies of the Votorantim Group operate.

Votorantim acquired the building in 1963 and occupied it only two years later, when the restoration work was concluded. Due to its historical value, CBA contracted a special lighting project for the building, in order that some of its artistic and cultural characteristics could be properly highlighted.

Designed by the architects Viret and Marmorat, the building was originally inaugurated in 1923, as the Hotel Esplanada, one of the most elegant hotels of São Paulo in the twenties and thirties.

The company also assumed the recovery and maintenance of Praça Ramos de Azevedo, which divides the area in which its headquarters are located, beside the Municipal Theatre, and the Vale do Anhangabaú.
